Methods of Transport

Sea shipment is the most common and cost-effective method of overseas transport for medium to large volume moves and for non-urgent smaller volume consignments. Goods can be shipped as a Full Container Load (FCL), with 20’ and 40’ (exclusive use) container options available, typically for complete home contents moves. For part contents moves we provide options both via Less than Container Load service (LCL) where packed goods are loaded into special wooden cases, with the cases being loaded into a shared container. We also offer a S hared Container (Groupage) service.

Air shipment is a quicker form of transportation and so is usually reserved for smaller 'advance' consignments of personal effects. Once packed, we load the goods into special 'triwall' air cases, made of light and very strong cardboard, keeping costs down whilst ensuring maximum protection during transit.

European moves are typically served by road transport. Constantine owns a fleet of custom designed, “air ride” suspension vehicles, all with climate control, tail lift facility and satellite tracking. For larger volume moves we would utilise a dedicated moving vehicle, fully staffed, to deliver your effects, with the timing of the departure and journey carefully planned, to suit your required delivery schedule.

For smaller volume consignments we offer cost-effective, frequent and scheduled 'part-load' road transport services to most EC and other main European cities or regions.
